Turmeric Latte

Beyond the Instagrammable hues lies a delicious elixir known as Turmeric latte or golden milk, offering not only a delightful taste but also potential health benefits. This warm beverage has been praised for its ability to promote health, reduce inflammation, and serve as a potential caffeine-free alternative to your morning coffee.

Turmeric takes center stage in this concoction and can be complemented by other beneficial herbs like ginger, cardamom, reishi, or maca. In my kitchen, I find joy in playing and experimenting with these herbs, so feel free to try out your favorite combination and share your experiences with me!

The Ingredients

  • Turmeric (Rhizoma Curcumae Longae)- Known as Jiang Huang, a golden-hued spice that holds a wealth of health benefits. Turmeric is seen as a warming agent that invigorates blood circulation, dispels dampness, and aligns with the Spleen, Stomach, and Liver meridians. It is often used to address conditions linked to stagnation, such as pain and inflammation. • Ginger (Sheng Jiang)- One of my favorite culinary and medicinal herbs. It benefits of warming the body are not to be overlooked. Ginger is revered for its warming nature and association with the Lung, Spleen, and Stomach meridians. It is believed to expel cold, alleviate nausea, and enhance digestion by promoting Qi circulation. Additionally, ginger is recognized for its ability to tonify the yang energy in the body. Ginger is acknowledged for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a valuable ally in managing nausea, digestive discomfort, and inflammation.
