Feeling the chills, sore throat, or just plain under the weather? Try a soothing delicious cup of Lemon Honey Ginger tea. This tea can help relieve cold and flu symptoms, boost your immune system and tastes amazing! The honey is great to soothe the digestive system, or ease an achy throat while the ginger helps to activate the immune system and warms the bodies Qi.

This recipe is very easy to make and you can brew a cup or even make a quart to save some for later!

Make A Quart of Lemon Ginger Tea

  1. Place 1/2 cup of thinly sliced ginger into 3 1/2 cups water in a medium sized saucepan
(You can also grate the ginger if you want it to be a stronger. If the ginger is organic then you don't necessary need to peel it, but I usually scrape off a bit of the skin. If itโ€™s not organic then go ahead a peel the ginger first.)

  2. Bring the water to a boil. Boil for about 3-5 minutes, turn down heat and let simmer for 5 more minutes.

  3. Remove from heat, cover and let steep until the liquid cools to a drinkable temperature.

  4. Strain out the ginger.

  5. Add about 3 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice to the tea.

  6. Add honey to taste - I love Manuka honey for all its amazing antibacterial properties.

Then you just need to stir and enjoy!

The brew can last in the fridge for up to a week.
